Founded on May 20, 2010, by the Richland County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Fortitude Foundation, Inc. is a dedicated 501(c)(3) organization with a mission to uplift and transform our community. We believe in the power of collective effort to make a meaningful impact, and we are committed to supporting community-based organizations that share our vision.
The Fortitude Foundation provides essential financial resources for various programs, projects, and scholarships. Our goal is to enhance the quality of life for residents in our community by offering information and resources that promote well-being and opportunity.
For over a decade, we have been fortunate to forge strong partnerships with numerous community organizations. Together, we have secured resources to support public service projects and initiatives that drive positive change.
Our collaborative efforts with the Richland County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority include:

Red Dress Luncheon: Raising awareness about heart disease among women

Red Diamond Gala: Awarding over $100,000 in scholarships to deserving young students

Women & Girls Conference: Fostering open and constructive dialogue between mothers and daughters
Beyond these events, we proudly volunteer with initiatives such as Flags Across America and Veteran Affairs Stand Down Events. We've also partnered with the ETV Endowment and SCETV, South Carolina's statewide public broadcasting network, and hosted impactful forums like the Women in Leadership: Called to Serve Forum.
